More Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

The book I read to research this post was Samsung Galaxy Tab for Dummies by Dan Gookin which is an excellent which I got from kindle. One thing I thought I’d mention is that the carphone warehouse website in the UK has an offer where you can rent a galaxy tab and a galaxy S which is a smartphone but it’s not the latest model which would be the galaxy S 2. I think the contract is 24 months and the cost is £26 per month and at the end of your contract I think they let you keep both items but it might be worth checking to make sure. When you consider that if you bought a galaxy tab it would cost £400 I think that offer is a bargain.

The galaxy tab features 2 cameras one is a small 1.3 mpx for self portraits and the one on the back is a 3 mpx for general use. Because this tablet can be used as a phone you may find particularly if you rent it you may find the phone company put special software on it so that you can make phone calls. There is an app called tango which lets you make video calls.

The book I read to research this post was Samsung Galaxy Tab Survival Guide  by Toly K and I think it’s an excellent book if you have a samsung galaxy. I got this book from kindle for £2 which is good value. When you first turn it on you have to activate it then you have to either create a google or if you have one already you just confirm it. This is no surprise when you consider the operating system is android and that’s owned by google. Android doesn’t have that many apps when you compare it to the ipad but it’s growing rapidly. When you install an app if you reject it and uninstall it within 15 minutes you get your money. If it doesn’t download properly you can uninstall it and download it again.  There’s a 1.3 megapixel camera and it has a smile feature so that it won’t take a photo unless everyone is smiling.
